Jaipur Rugs is the first company in India with “Design, Development, Manufacturing and Export of Handmade Carpets and Floor Coverings” scope and 11th carpet company to receive SA 8000 certification in India.

The certification covers the Jaipur’s factory, which associates more than 40000 people across the country. The Jaipur facility also conducts various on-site awareness programs, on-site training programs and work with govt. on social initiatives.

SA 8000 is an internationally recognized standard based on International Labor Organization (ILO) conventions and the United Nations' Universal Declaration of Human Rights and the Convention on Rights of the child. The standard focuses on child labor, forced labor, health and safety, freedom of association and the right to collective bargaining, discrimination, and disciplinary practices, working hours, compensation and the implementation of an efficient management system.
